Steve Woodcock is a professional bassist and Chapman Stick player, based in London, UK. An experienced and accomplished performer, he is well versed in many styles from jazz to pop, rock, metal and world music.

Currently playing with Xerath, over the last 20 years Steve has performed, recorded, or toured internationally with a wide variety of artists including Cynic, Gareth Gates, Anna Phoebe (Jon Lord, Jethro Tull, Roxy Music, Trans Siberian Orchestra), Naveen Kumar (John McLaughlin) and Linear Sphere, to name a few; he has also recorded content for Guitar Techniques and Total Guitar magazines.
